The ATEN VC486 is a 12G-SDI to HDMI 2.0 video converter that converts HD/3G/6G/12G-SDI signals to HDMI output in real time. It auto-detects the incoming signal and can pass through and re-clock video up to DCI 4K without any change in resolution or quality.
It supports SDI transmission distances from 45m (12G-SDI) up to 150m (HD-SDI), and offers up to eight embedded audio channels down-mixed to analogue stereo via RCA outputs. Configuration is handled through ATEN's companion software, making it suited to broadcast, medical imaging and industrial inspection applications where SDI sources need to feed HDMI displays or capture devices.
