The TP-Link ER605 (TL-R605) is a Gigabit VPN router from TP-Link's Omada SDN range, built for small and growing businesses. It offers five Gigabit Ethernet ports, two of which can be freely configured as WAN or LAN, plus a USB 2.0 port for a 4G/3G backup connection, giving flexible multi-WAN load balancing and failover.
It supports IPsec, L2TP, PPTP and OpenVPN VPN tunnels (up to 20 IPsec, 16 each of the others simultaneously), backed by an SPI firewall, DoS defence and 4kV lightning protection. The router can be managed standalone via local web UI or app, or integrated into the Omada SDN platform for centralised, cloud-based network management alongside Omada switches and access points.
